Hi, I'm Fede.
I'm a portrait and product photographer based in Belgium.
Everything starts with light. I like shaping it, blocking it, seeing what the shadows can do. Painters have a name for that game between light and dark: chiaroscuro. I never get tired of it. Add color, negative space, and patience, and that's how I see.
I also like getting close. I keep my frames clean because I can't control too many elements, and honestly, I don't want to. One subject, one mood, nothing in the way.
I studied photography at La Fototeca in Guatemala, a one-year program, before moving to Belgium. My style sits somewhere between those two places: the strong light I grew up with and the soft grey skies I live under now.
